First, the language english isn't easy for me. It has been a problem since elementary school, but, things have changed a little. At first I didn't want to take the english class. I was so afraid of failing that I thought it would be better if i just passed without learning. I didn't want to be embarrassed. But now, passing time, I feel that I have more and more confidence in myself.
I think blogs have created an obligation to practice grammar and expression. We force ourselves to work during the week and not forget the English. Also, it is entertaining to read what the companions write.
Although the classes helped me, I need to be applied and practice at home. I think I've made progress in my grammar but my pronunciation is horrible. I will practice my pronunciation by listening to songs in English and watching movies with subtitles. In addition, I began to express my thoughts in English and saying out loud.
Outside of English class, I consciously use it to understand videos on youtube, memes that my sister sends me and play with my boyfriend. It doesn't sound like something constant, but I think that as Latin Americans, we use English in our daily lives without realizing it. It is such an everyday language, that we see in movies, commercials, social media, and we understand the basics and the rest by context.
These classes have helped me to understand more of that day to day, and will probably serve me wherever I travel in the future.
